My visits to Bangalore have become so frequent that it could almost be called a second home. If it weren't for family and friends scattered across the beautiful city, I'd still manage to make a few trips –even if it were just for the weather! Yes, that gloriously renowned weather of Bangalore, how I love it! Always pleasant with that cool breeze sweeping through the hair, it's the very epitome of brilliant tropical climate.

But, I must say, it's not just the weather that drives me to Bangalore ever so often. There's a second more alluring factor –the food! The foodie that I am, I love just about any kind of food that can be considered remotely edible… But Bangalore stands out. Maybe it's the affordability or the sheer culinary genius, or that tropical touch, the smell in the air, the wind in my hair –Bangalore reeks of culinary magic.
And I don't think that Bangalore being a foodie hub is a recent phenomenon, even my mother's told me of her tales gorging on delicious food in the city (not that she's particularly old, but you get my point). And that's actually how I came upon Bangalore's food. When I was just a wee thing, my mother took me to a place called Koshy's in Bangalore, promising the most Delicious smoked food in Bangalore –and oh, it's where I found true contentment!
Koshy's was this humble place nestled away in a corner near the popular Hard Rock Café in Bangalore (I'll come to that later). Not at all extravagantly decorated or furnished, the restaurant had a simple old-world charm. It was even renowned as one of the Best Breakfast places in Bangalore. I couldn't have enough of the fish in some form of heavenly tomato-based sauce… It still ranks amongst the best dishes I've ever eaten.
Now coming to Hard Rock Café, pitched up inside a truly breathtaking old building, the HRC at Bangalore combines that rustic old school aura with all things rock ‘n' roll! And my, it's guaranteed to serve up some of the most Delicious smoked food in Bangalore. From their classic burgers to Indian-ized dishes, they've got a positively delectable spread!

While my mother was the one to introduce me to Koshy's and Hard Rock Café in Bangalore, it's a two way street! And so I took her out to Smoke House Deli. I had been to SHD in Delhi a few times, and it had quickly become a favourite. Undeniably one of the Best Breakfast places in Bangalore, we were in for yet another delightfully delicious meal in Bangalore!
